Inquire
Establish rapport with the student. Determine the student's knowledge base and ask probing questions so advisor and student can address the problem or situation correctly.
Inform
Help students understand the connection between self awareness, educational choices, occupational information, and academic/career planning. Explain interventions available in self, major, and career exploration and career planning. Assist student set career goals.
Integrate
Review and integrate gathered information including interpretation of exploration results, and affirm or formulate thought and choices about major and career plans. Evaluate and plan any short or long term follow up with the student.
